| Item 1.01 | Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement. |
On August 5, 2011, Air Lease Corporation (the “Company”) entered into a definitive purchase agreement and related letter agreements (collectively, the “Purchase Agreement”) with The Boeing Company (“Boeing”). The Company agreed to purchase five 777-300ER aircraft from Boeing pursuant to the Purchase Agreement. Deliveries of these aircraft are scheduled to commence in 2014 and to continue through 2015.
