Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On August 4, 2011, International Strategy & Investment Group Inc. (“ISI”), a registered broker-dealer, issued a client communication announcing that David Raso, ISI’s machinery research analyst, will hold a conference call with Michael Kneeland, chief executive officer of United Rentals, Inc. (the “Company”), and William Plummer, chief financial officer, on August 5, 2011. During the call, Messrs. Kneeland and Plummer will discuss information regarding the Company, which may include a discussion of and updates regarding the Company’s business and financial performance, a discussion of general economic conditions and forward-looking information.
