(b) On July 28, 2011, Kevin Pack, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gateway Bank Mortgage, Inc. (“Gateway Mortgage”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc., resigned from employment with Gateway Mortgage, effective September 1, 2011.
Item 8.01. Other Events.
On July 28, 2011, Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc. (the “Company”), the holding company for Bank of Hampton Roads and Shore Bank, announced new leadership for its subsidiary, Gateway Bank Mortgage, Inc.
A copy of the press release making such announcement is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
