Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement
Effective July 11, 2011, the amended advisory agreement among Wells Timberland REIT, Inc. (the “Company”), Wells Timberland Operating Partnership, L.P., and Wells Timberland Management Organization, LLC was renewed through July 10, 2012 upon terms identical to those of the amended advisory agreement in effect through July 10, 2011. As previously disclosed in Form 8-K filed on April 1, 2011, the board of directors of the Company approved an amendment to the advisory agreement. The advisory agreement was filed as Exhibit 10.1 to our Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q filed on November 10, 2010 and the amendment was filed as Exhibit 10.1 to Form 8-K filed on April 1, 2011; both documents are incorporated by reference herein.
