ITEM 2.01.  Financial Information

On July 6, 2011, First Community Bank, a wholly owned bank subsidiary of First Community Corporation, issued a press release announcing the expansion of its mortgage division by acquiring substantially all of the assets of Palmetto South Mortgage Company.
