ITEM 5.02 DEPARTURE OF DIRECTORS OR CERTAIN OFFICERS; ELECTION OF DIRECTORS; APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN OFFICERS; COMPENSATORY ARRANGEMENTS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS
The Board of Directors of Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. ("the Company") approved a salary increase for Kent G. Townsend, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of the Company. Effective July 2, 2011, Mr. Townsend will receive an annual salary of $270 thousand, increased from $240 thousand. No other changes were made to Mr. Townsend's compensation arrangements.
