Other Events.

On June 27, 2011, Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc. (the “Company”), the holding company for Bank of Hampton Roads and Shore Bank, announced that Russell Investments (“Russell”) will add the Company to the Russell 3000® and Russell Global® Indexes on July 1, 2011 as a result of the annual reconstitution of Russell’s comprehensive set of U.S. and global equity indexes.
A copy of the press release announcing the addition to the Russell 3000® and Russell Global® Indexes is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
