On June 23, 2011, Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that Alliance Films, Inc., a leading Canadian distributor of motion pictures and television programming, has agreed to purchase the Company’s Canadian distributor, Maple Pictures Corp., for approximately $38.5 million, subject to a working capital adjustment. The press release issued by the Company in connection with the announcement is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
