Item 8.01. Other Events
On June 10, 2011, Magellan Health Services, Inc. (the “Company”) and the State of Arizona agreed to extend the Company’s contract to manage behavioral health care for Medicaid recipients and other beneficiaries of the Maricopa County Regional Behavioral Health Authority through September 30,2013. The original contract with Magellan began on September 1, 2007, and was scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2012.
Attached and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit 99.1 is a copy of the press release dated June 13, 2011 which announces this extension.
