Item 8.01. Other Events.

On June 10, 2011, Net 1 UEPS Technologies, Inc. (“Net1”) issued a press release which details the South African Constitutional Court’s ruling dismissing Net1’s leave to appeal the Supreme Court of Appeal’s judgement related to the South African Social Security Agency’s right to contract with the South African Post Office, citing that it is not in the interest of justice for the Constitutional Court to hear this matter. A copy of Net1’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
