Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 1, 2011, XsunX, Inc., a Colorado corporation (the “Company”) released a letter to shareholders (the “Shareholder Newsletter”) providing progress information to the Company’s efforts to develop and market a new hybrid manufacturing technology for the mass production of Copper Indium Gallium (di) Selenide (CIGS) thin film solar cells.
The Shareholder Newsletter provides information regarding the start to the build-out of the Company’s initial baseline CIGSolar™ system, and plans to consolidate technical, sales, and corporate operations into a single facility in preparation for the completion and marketing of the CIGSolar™ system. A copy of the Shareholder Newsletter is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is hereby incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
