Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On June 7, 2011, management of Buckeye GP LLC (the “Partnership GP”), the general partner of
Buckeye Partners, L.P. (the “Partnership”), plans to present at the Partnership’s Annual Meeting of
Unitholders. Attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K is a copy of the
presentation materials to be used in connection with the planned presentation. The presentation
materials also have been posted on the Investor Center page of the Partnership’s website, at
www.buckeye.com.
