MPG OFFICE TRUST DISPOSES OF NON-CORE ASSET
 
 
LOS ANGELES, May 31, 2011 - MPG Office Trust, Inc. (NYSE: MPG), a Southern California-focused real estate investment trust, today announced that it has completed the disposition of the Westin® Pasadena Hotel located in Pasadena, California. The Company received proceeds of $92 million, net of transaction costs, of which $79 million was used to repay the mortgage loan secured by the hotel and the adjacent Plaza Las Fuentes office building (which is now unencumbered). The remaining $13 million of cash proceeds, along with reserves totaling $2 million returned to the Company by the lender upon repayment of the mortgage loan, is available to the Company as unrestricted cash.
