On May 19, 2011, The Provident Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Provident Financial Services, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that The Provident Bank agreed to acquire Beacon Trust Company and Beacon Global Asset Management, Inc. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
