Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Marie T. Gallagher, 51, has been appointed to the role of Senior Vice President and Controller (Principal Accounting Officer) of PepsiCo, Inc. ("PepsiCo"), effective May 13, 2011. Ms. Gallagher began her career at PepsiCo in 2005 as Vice President and Assistant Controller, and was named Senior Vice President and Assistant Controller in 2011. Prior to joining PepsiCo, Ms. Gallagher was Assistant Controller at Altria Corporate Services.
Ms. Gallagher replaces Peter A. Bridgman who transitioned out of the role of Senior Vice President and Controller (Principal Accounting Officer) of PepsiCo, a position he held since 2000, to assume the role of PepsiCo’s Senior Vice President and General Auditor and leader of PepsiCo's Global Financial Shared Services, also effective May 13, 2011.
