ANNOUNCES POSTPONEMENT OF PROPOSED SENIOR CONVERTIBLE NOTES OFFERING

NEW YORK— April 26, 2011—Apollo Investment Corporation (the “Company”) (NASDAQ-GS: AINV) announced today that it has postponed its previously announced proposed senior convertible notes (“the Notes”) offering at this time. The Company had proposed to offer the Notes in a private placement only to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”).
