Item 8.01 Other Events
On April 8, 2011, American Realty Capital Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its intention to initiate the process of interviewing investment banking firms and other advisory firms to provide its board of directors with recommendations in exploring various strategic actions to maximize shareholder value, including the assessment of various liquidity alternatives, in connection with the pending July 25, 2011 close of the company’s initial public offering.
A copy of the press release, which is hereby incorporated into this filing in its entirety, is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
