AMERICAN AIRLINES REPORTS MARCH TRAFFIC

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines reported that March traffic increased 0.8 percent versus the same period last year. Capacity increased 2.6 percent year over year, resulting in a load factor of 80.2 percent compared to 81.7 percent in the same period last year. International traffic increased by 5.2 percent relative to last year on a capacity increase of 7.1 percent. Domestic traffic decreased 1.7 percent year over year on 0.1 percent less capacity.
American boarded 7.4 million passengers in March.
