On March 25, 2011, Horizon Lines, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it
has extended the expiration date of its previously announced consent solicitation
relating to its 4.25% Convertible Senior Notes due 2012. A copy of the press release
announcing the extension is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is hereby
incorporated by reference.
