On March 22, 2011, James River Coal Company issued a press release announcing that it has commenced a cash tender offer for its outstanding 9.375% Senior Notes (the “Notes”) due 2012 and a related consent solicitation to amend the indenture governing the Notes. The press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
