ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS
On March 18, 2011, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services (Standard & Poor’s) lowered the corporate
credit ratings of WGL Holdings Inc. (WGL) and Washington Gas Light Company (Washington Gas) from
AA- to A+, and lowered its commercial paper ratings of WGL and Washington Gas from A-1+ to
A-1. Standard & Poor’s also revised the outlook on both WGL and Washington Gas from negative to stable.
