As disclosed in its press release dated January 5, 2011, Waste Management, Inc. (the
“Company”) is presenting at the Raymond James Institutional Investors Conference in Orlando,
Florida on March 8, 2011. Members of the Company’s senior management will be making a presentation
that may include material non-public information, including information related to the Company’s
strategic business plans. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 1:40 p.m. Eastern time.
A live webcast of the meeting and the accompanying presentation will be available on the
Company’s website at http://www.wm.com under the Investor Relations section. Additionally, a replay
