On March 3, 2011, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Amylin”) issued a press release announcing top-line results from DURATION-6, a head-to-head study designed to compare BYDUREON™ (exenatide extended-release for injectable suspension), an investigational type 2 diabetes therapy, to Victoza® (liraglutide (rDNA origin) injection).  A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
