| Item 7.01. | Regulation FD Disclosure. |
On January 31, 2011, Transcept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Transcept”) issued a press release announcing that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified the recent Intermezzo® New Drug Application (NDA) resubmission as a complete Class 2 response and assigned a Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) action date of July 14, 2011 for the completion of the NDA review. The full text of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
