Item 7.01    Regulation FD Disclosure.


First Trust/FIDAC Mortgage Income Fund (the "Fund") is filing herewith a
press release issued on January 11, 2011, as Exhibit 99.1. The press release was
issued by First Trust Advisors, L.P. to that Fixed Income Discount Advisory
Company ("FIDAC") has submitted its notice of resignation, effective April 30,
2011, as the investment sub-advisor to First Trust/FIDAC Mortgage Income Fund.
