Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On January 10, 2011, Newfield Exploration Company (“Newfield”) issued a press release announcing successful assessment results in Eagle Ford Shale, the acquisition of additional working interest in the Maverick Basin and plans to increase 2011 investment levels.
