Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On December 23, 2010, David I. Fuente, a director of Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company that he is resigning as a director effective immediately as a result of his decision to curtail his business and board activities. Mr. Fuente indicated that he believes the Company is in a far stronger position than when he joined the Board and, therefore, that this is an appropriate time for him to resign from the Board.
