Effective December 15, 2010, John D. Howard, a member of the Board of Directors of Vitamin Shoppe, Inc. (the “Company”), resigned from the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Howard’s departure is not the result of a disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices. Mr. Howard was not a member of any of the Company’s sub-committees.
