Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 15, 2010, Leucadia National Corporation (the “Company”) issued the press release attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated herein announcing that it had closed the sale to Inmet Mining Corporation of the Company’s remaining 30% equity and debt interest in Cobre Las Cruces, a joint venture with Inmet.
