The Board of Directors of New Peoples Bankshares, Inc. ("Corporation") and its wholly owned banking subsidiary, New Peoples Bank, Inc. ("Bank"), at meetings held on November 29, 2010, appointed Eugene Hearl to their respective Board of Directors. Mr. Hearl has over 40 years banking experience which includes experience as President and CEO for two community banks and Regional President of a large regional financial institution. Mr. Hearl will serve on the Director Loan Committee, Asset Liability Management Committee and the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
