(b) On September 1, 2010, James E. Bookstaff notified the Chairman of the board of directors of Mountain National Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) in writing that he was resigning, effective immediately, from the Company’s board of directors and from the board of directors of the Company’s bank subsidiary, Mountain National Bank.
