Item 8.01. Other Events.
On May 18, 2010, Oil States International, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing its Board authorized the Company's Canadian subsidiary, PTI Group Inc. ("PTI"), to spend additional capital to expand three existing facilities in the oil sands region of northern Alberta, Canada. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
