Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On May 10, 2010, Span-America Medical Systems, Inc. ("SPAN") issued a press release announcing that the Board of Directors declared a special cash dividend of $1.00 per share and a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 per share. The record date for both dividends is May 20, 2010, and the payable date for both dividends is June 4, 2010. Both dividends will be paid out of cash or cash equivalents on hand. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is furnished to, but not filed with, the Commission.
