ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS.
On March 1, 2010, Republic Services, Inc. announced that it has notified the
registered holders of its 7.25% Senior Notes due 2015 (the “Notes”) that it will redeem all of
the Notes outstanding on March 31, 2010, which announcement is contained in a press release, a
copy of which is filed under Item 9.01 as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
