On October 21, 2009, OMNI Energy Services Corp. (the “Company”) announced that it has been awarded a contract with a leading seismic data acquisition company to perform a major seismic drilling project in the Marcellus Shale geographic region. The contract is expected to generate approximately $4 million in revenue. The Company anticipates that the contract will commence during the first quarter of 2010.
A copy of the press release announcing the contract is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. The press release should be read in conjunction with the note regarding forward-looking statements, which is included in the text of the press release.
