Item 8.01 Other Events
     On October 14, 2009, PowerSecure International, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that its EfficientLights refrigerated case lighting is being installed at a rapid pace by major retailers, and that the Company now expects revenues for the product to reach $20 million for 2009.
     The press release filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 contains forward-looking statements relating to the Company’s future performance made within the meaning of and pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. A more thorough discussion of certain risks, uncertainties and other factors that may affect the Company is included in the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2008 and in subsequent reports, including the Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q and Current Reports on Form 8-K, that the Company files or furnishes with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
